We also gather broad demographic information from this data to help us improve our site and service offerings.

J. WHOIS Data

Most domain registrations require publishing contact-related information in WHOIS (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WHOIS). With most registrars this process, by default, involves transmitting your personal information to the registries responsible for the top-level domains in your account(s). NameSilo, LLC, who is the registrar that We resell domain names for, is different - by default, it does not transmit your personal information to domain registries thereby preventing disclosure of personal information in WHOIS. Namesilo’s WHOIS privacy service (https://www.namesilo.com/Support/WHOIS-Privacy) is free and is enabled by default. It is still possible for you to transmit and publish your personal information in WHOIS by explicitly disabling WHOIS privacy on a per domain or account-level basis; however, you have to explicitly request that this be done via our site.

If you choose to opt out of our free WHOIS privacy service, please review the privacy portion (where available) of the Registry Policies for the top-level domain in which you wish to or have registered a domain name to better understand how your WHOIS data is utilized by the individual registry. Also, please note that when you disable WHOIS privacy, your personal information will become publicly available. This means that anyone can download/store/copy/distribute your personal information; even if you enable WHOIS privacy later on.

IV. Security

We implement a variety of security measures to protect the safety of Your personal information when You enter, submit, or access Your personal information.

While We take reasonable measures to protect the information You submit via the Service against loss, theft, and unauthorized use, disclosure, or modification, We cannot guarantee its absolute security. No Internet, email, or mobile application transmission is ever fully secure or error free. Email or other messages sent through the Service may not be secure. You should use caution whenever submitting information through the Service, and take special care in deciding with which information You provide us.

We cannot guarantee that transmissions of Your personal information will be fully secure and that third parties will never be able to defeat our security measures or the security measures of our partners. WE ASSUME NO LIABILITY FOR DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION DUE TO TRANSMISSION ERRORS, THIRD PARTY ACCESS, OR CAUSES BEYOND OUR CONTROL.
